It’s officially December, which means it’s time to decorate the house and start getting organised. Long gone are the days of circling Christmas gift wishes in an Argos catalogue, now there’s more choice than ever, which is great, but equally overwhelming. If you’re struggling to decide on gifts for your female loved ones, then look no further. I have suggestions for beauty, style and luxury lovers, bookworms, and women who deserve a pamper.
For makeup and perfume lovers.
Lancome has modernised their signature rose note for Idole. Described by people who know their stuff as a ‘modern chypre-floral’, to me it smells sweet, fresh, and completely luxurious. Packaged in the world’s thinnest perfume bottle to date, designed by architect Chafik Gasmi, it looks luxurious too. This isn’t just a perfume, it’s a statement.
The perfect gift for any luxury beauty lover, with rose gold packaging that is as stunning as the makeup itself. This features 12 neutral matte eyeshadows that are all exclusive to the palette. Unlike more adventurous colour schemes, this is a safe bet for a premium beauty gift because it’s full of classic and timeless shades.
I recommended this premium lipstick in my recent Black Friday beauty discounts. Rouge Interdit sets itself apart from other lipsticks for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s a limited edition Givenchy, which boasts status. Secondly, the formula is adaptive to pH, creating a shade unique to the wearer. Not only is this pretty impressive, but it also means that it’s impossible to pick the wrong shade for her skin tone.
For the women who take meticulous care of their skin (or for those who should).
The Sonya skincare system is specifically designed for combination skin, so is suitable for most skin types. Featuring a cleanser, illuminating gel, refining gel mask, and soothing gel moisturiser, it’s the basics of a whole routine. Perfect for the seasoned skincare lover as well as the girls who are just getting into skincare, as the perfect introductory kit.
I’ve also included Caudalie in my Stocking Filler Suggestions because I think that they’ve got their festive products spot-on this year. They have a gift for almost any skin type and budget. The Vinoperfect Radiance Ritual is priced the same as the serum alone so you’re essentially getting two freebies in this set. Perfect for women who are looking to prevent the appearance of ageing.
A luxurious face mask and moisturiser duo, both products work to leave skin visibly smoother, healthier and rejuvenated. Best for thirsty skin, even the packaging screams hydration (plus it’s an easy-to-wrap box, bonus).
XOXO buffs away dead skin cells and empties blocked pores in order to allow skincare products to work more effectively. With cleansing brushes becoming more and more popular, this is the perfect gift for beauty lovers who enjoy trying out new trends and products.
The full size Cleanse It is suitable for all skin types. It makes a great Christmas gift because its both luxurious and practical, plus it smells incredible. Alternatively, you can shop the discovery sized version as a Stocking Filler.
For the girl whose hard to please, and for those who value quality over quantity.
A Jo Malone candle is such a lovely gift for her because its high-end and isn’t a luxury that many people would afford themselves. They’re pricey because they look expensive, smell expensive and are incredibly high quality.
Luxury skincare is something that many of us invest in but luxury body care can be a little more difficult to justify. That’s exactly why the phyto replenish oil makes such a beautiful gift. Premium ingredients combine to create a beautifully scented oil that calms and nourishes the skin.
Another Dermalogica skincare pick, the body scrub and oil would make an incredible gift duo. Quality ingredients such as Papain and Lactic acid dissolve dead skin cells and promote natural cell renewal to encourage bright and radiant skin. A perfect pick for the girl who likes a pamper. I’m always recommending Dermalogica, and for more of their products that are great for gifting, check out Becc4’s Guide too!
For those who take pride in their appearance and surroundings.
Can a girl ever have too many bags? The Risborough is perfectly versatile and comes in a classic off white that goes with every colour. Made with a vegan leather alternative, this really does make a great gift for anyone.
I initially debated whether to feature these within this guide or my Stocking Filler Suggestions. Ultimately, despite the relatively low price, they fit best within this guide because of their stunning quality. These earrings are beautiful and if I was to receive them as a Christmas gift, I’d definitely assume that they were more pricey than they are.
Personal style comes down to much more than accessories and touches on almost everything about ourselves, from our behaviour to how we present our homes. Poster Store posters are essentially a major glow up to your standard posters. Gone is the blue-tack that held posters to the walls of teenage bedrooms, replaced by a range of different frames that purposefully showcase them. These make perfect gifts for new homeowners, redecorators, or the girl boss with a pretty home office.

B- DO MORE OF WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY (30×40) & black metal frame | £25.90

For anyone who deserves a little ‘me-time’.
Quality skincare will always make a perfect Christmas gift. Kathleen masks offer something more though, working not only to brighten the skin but also as an aromatherapy product to soothe and relax your mood.
‘Tis the season to cosy up on the sofa with a blanket, a hot chocolate, and a Christmas movie. In fact, the latter would also make great accompanying gifts. In a pretty shade of pink which works as well at the bottom of a bed as it does thrown over the arm of a sofa, this is a great gift for the girl who enjoys her nights in.
Whilst affordable seasonal fragrances make great stocking fillers, timeless scents are the ones worth investing in. Reed diffusers make great gifts for homeware lovers, and with the rise of Mrs. Hinch has come a rise in house pride.
Timeless scented candles are also a good bet. With clean, fresh connotations that perfectly reflect the beginnings of a new year, Lime & Grapefruit is a great pick. All of Valentte’s candles are scented with pure aromatherapy essential oils that fill the space and are better for you than synthetic fragrance.
Winter provides the perfect excuse to curl up with a good book. I’ve always thought that a book makes a wonderful Christmas gift, but it can sometimes be difficult to know which genres other people enjoy. With a book subscription, that pressure is elevated, and you can introduce the bookworm in your life to new reads through Heady Mix featured novels.
I for one, struggle to find inspiration for Christmas gifts without being tempted by a few picks for myself. Whether you’re buying for others or also for yourself this year, I hope that all are very well received.
