The latest NUXE skincare launch is a range of Insta-Masques, appropriately named as they work in only two minutes. The Insta title is also apt for how wonderfully Instagram worthy they make the skin.

I’m a fan of NUXE as a brand and when I heard about this launch I felt almost as though the products had been designed for me. Although I’m strict with my skincare routine, incorporating face masks just isn’t something I’ve ever quite mastered. I use them, sure. In fact, I enjoy popping one on almost every Sunday without fail, but it’s only that, a weekly occurance.

Every Sunday after a face mask, I ask myself why I don’t use them more regularly. The good ones make such a positive difference to my skin that I swear to myself that I’ll make time in the week. That is, until the next Sunday roles around and I’m chastising myself once again. Time is the one thing that stands in the way of my skin and a twice-weekly face mask. By the time I remember, it’s usually bedtime and delaying sleep by 15 minutes seems like too much of a sacrifice. Yes, I’m serious.

Although I was eager to try the range, part of me was sceptical whether a mask could actually work effectively in just two minutes. Well, because of how convenient they are, it’s safe to say that I’ve tried and tested them more than enough times to form a conclusive opinion.

DETOXIFYING AND GLOW MASK

If you’ve read my recent thoughts on the Pixi Glow Tonic range, you’ll know just how much I love glow-getting skincare. I’m always looking for products that will help me avoid dull skin, and this claims to do just that, by adding radiance. A bonus is that the activated charcoal works to remove impurities too.

This goes on like a normal face mask, but doesn’t change in texture until you begin to rinse it away, at which point the thick gel transforms into a lotion. Despite wondering whether two minutes really would be enough time, this one is extremely effective and I’d warn against keeping it on for any longer than that.

Applying face masks in the morning is a luxury I’ve never had the time for before. The detoxifying and glow mask however, leaves my skin feeling so clean and looking so fresh that I’ve incorporated it into my morning skincare a couple of times. Although I’ve found it effective, if you have sensitive skin then I’d recommend opting for either of the other two, more gentle masks over this one.
